The life story of Anne Frank
The graphic biography begins with the life of Otto and Edith, the parents of Anne Frank. The sisters Anne and Margot soon enter the scene, but the family’s happy life in Frankfurt is shattered by the rise of the Nazis. They flee to Amsterdam. We see them in their carefree years and follow them, after war breaks out, into their hiding place and ultimately to the concentration camps. Otto Frank was the only one of the eight people in hiding to survive the Holocaust. The biography ends with his return to Amsterdam, followed by the publication of Anne’s diary and the opening of the Anne Frank House as a museum.
