Anne filmed
Anne is filmed by coincidence when she is looking out of the window at a neighbour who is getting married.
On 22 June 1941 a neighbour of Anne Frank gets married. Anne lives on the Merwedeplein at number 37. The neighbour lives at number 39. A friend of the bride and groom has a camera. He films the couple and the guests. They meet at the bride’s home before leaving by car for the City Hall.
Unique film
The camera man also films the bride’s home on the first floor a couple of times. The maids are looking out of the window. Anne is looking out of the next window. It seems as if she calls to the people inside: ‘I’m being filmed!’ or ‘Come and look!’ and then she looks at the departing car. This is the only moving footage of Anne Frank.
