Raid on the Koco ice cream parlour on the Van Woustraat
The Grüne Polizei (Green Police) raids the ice cream parlour Koco on the Van Woustraat. The premises are protected by a Jewish gang and non-Jewish residents of the area and a violent brawl results. The Germans are sprayed with ammonia gas (needed to keep the ice cream cool). Six people, including the owner of the shop, are arrested and mistreated in police custody in the Herengracht police station.
