NSB member Tulp becomes Chief Commissioner of the police force
Sybran Tulp is a military veteran, NSB member and enthusiastic supporter of Nazi Germany. He wants to work together with the German occupiers. His personal approach helps him to gain authority in the police force, which in turn enables him to persuade the police force to implement German measures.
Tulp dies on 22 October 1942 as a result of rheumatic fever.
Collaboration
During the occupation collaborators work with the Nazis. For example; as managers they implement German measures, they help in tracking down Jews and members of the resistance; they fight in the German army and do other things which aid the German occupier but not their own people.
